Hands in Support

Welcome to

Willow View Counselling

Willow View Counselling offers compassionate, culturally sensitive psychotherapy for children, youth, and adults in navigating life’s challenges. We provide a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, deepen understanding, and move toward healing.

Our Services & Therapeutic Approaches

Willow View Counselling offers individualized psychotherapy tailored to each client’s unique needs, experiences, and goals. Our work integrates the following modalities:

Trauma‑Informed Care

Trauma‑informed care recognizes the impact of trauma and prioritizes safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. Therapy is paced thoughtfully to support healing while minimizing the risk of re‑traumatization.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps individuals recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that impact emotions and daily functioning. This approach is practical and goal‑focused, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress.

Strength‑Based Therapy

This approach focuses on identifying and building upon existing strengths, resources, and abilities. Therapy emphasizes resilience, empowerment, and the capacity for positive change.

Solution‑Focused Therapy

Solution‑focused therapy is short‑term and goal‑oriented, helping clients clarify desired outcomes and take meaningful steps toward solutions rather than focusing solely on problems.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT promotes psychological flexibility by helping clients develop mindfulness skills, accept difficult thoughts and emotions, and take actions aligned with their core values.

Family Systems Therapy

Family systems therapy understands challenges within the context of relationships and family dynamics, supporting improved communication, connection, and understanding.

Our Values

The willow tree reflects grounding, flexibility, and quiet strength. In the face of strong winds and changing seasons, the willow tree adapts and moves with its surroundings while remaining firmly rooted in what provides stability. In much the same way, people facing life’s challenges can learn to shift their perspective, bend rather than break through adversity, and reconnect with hope and light as they work through trauma.

At Willow View Counselling, this symbolism reflects our therapeutic approach. Like the willow tree, individuals and families are supported in developing flexibility and steadiness during times of stress, change, and uncertainty.

Healing is a deeply personal journey, one that unfolds best in a space that feels safe, supportive, and non judgmental. Through warmth, understanding, and steady support, individuals can move toward greater peace, self compassion and a renewed sense of balance.

Angela Langlois is a Registered Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience in child welfare and mental health. Her approach is calm, collaborative, and supportive.  Angela’s passion is helping individuals move through life’s challenges, while remaining connected to their strengths and values.

As a proud member of Peguis First Nation, Angela is deeply committed to providing culturally safe, respectful, and trauma‑informed care. Her practice is especially informed by her work with Indigenous children and families and those impacted by intergenerational trauma, abuse, neglect, and systemic challenges. Angela understands the importance of creating a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected within the context of their lived experiences and identities.

Angela works alongside clients to help them understand their experiences, build on their existing strengths, and develop practical skills for moving forward. Her approach is rooted in evidence‑based modalities while remaining flexible and responsive to each individual’s needs, values, and goals.

At Willow View Counselling, Angela views healing as a process of growth and reconnection. Like the willow tree, individuals are supported in building resilience, learning how to bend without breaking, while remaining connected to their values and sense of self.
